Two Different Kinds of Product
Amazon SES is a building block. It sends mail very cheaply at huge scale, and it expects you to bring the rest: an AWS account, access rules, a region, DNS records, a way to process bounces and complaints, and somewhere to look at your logs.
Traffsite Email is the finished service for teams that send app emails: receipts, one-time codes, password resets and alerts. The trade is simple. You pay a little more per email and skip most of the plumbing.

Which One Fits You
Pick Amazon SES If
- You send very large volumes and every fraction of a cent matters.
- You already run on AWS and want email inside the same account, billing and access rules.
- You need things Traffsite does not offer, such as dedicated IP addresses (SES lists them from $24.95 a month per IP).
Moving Over from SES
- Create a Traffsite account and verify your email address.
- Add your domain and publish the DNS records shown. Traffsite checks MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
- Make an API key with the send scope.
- Change your sending code to
POST https://api.traffsite.com/v1/sendwith an Idempotency-Key header. - Send a test, watch it in the message log, then retire the SES call.

Questions
Is Traffsite cheaper than Amazon SES?
Not per email. SES lists $0.10 per 1,000 emails, and Traffsite is about ₹14.29 per 1,000 in a prepaid pack. What you pay for with Traffsite is the part SES leaves to you: setup, domain checks, bounce handling and a log. If you send millions of emails and have engineers to run the pipeline, SES is the cheaper way.
What is the SES sandbox?
A restricted mode for new SES accounts. You can only send to verified addresses, up to 200 messages in 24 hours and 1 per second, until AWS approves your request for production access. It is separate in each AWS region.
Can I move from SES to Traffsite?
Yes. Add and verify your domain in Traffsite, make an API key with the send scope, and change the sending call to POST /v1/send. Keep SES running until your first emails arrive, then switch over.
Does Traffsite work for newsletters?
Traffsite Email is built for transactional email: one message triggered by one action. It is not a newsletter or campaign tool.
